Cuvée Saint Georges

Our Syrah, Cabernet and Mourvèdre grapes are hand-picked, hand-sorted and vinified whole in separate, stainless-steel and Allier oak tanks. Throughout vinification, the grapes are manually pigeaged (punched down) and ultimately the individual wines are left on their skins for an extended period of time for the maximum extraction of flavours. Upon pressing, each individual wine is laid to mature in Allier oak barrels for up to 20 months before blending to combine aromas and flavours of red and black fruits, spices and harmonious tannins with hints of vanilla and toast.

2017

Syrah (69%) Cabernet Sauvignon (30%) Mourvedre (1%)

'Garnet colour of medium intensity. Expressive nose of black pepper with powerful meaty and roasted notes mixed with rather intense vanilla and smoky aromas. The attack is supple and the palate is ample, with a lingering gourmet finish with notes of toast. A very pleasant, complex Syrah wine in the style of the Côtes du Rhône North.'
