Cuvée Katrina

The Rolle (Vermentino) and Viognier grapes are handpicked, hand-sorted and pressed whole. The Rolle juice is vinified in both temperature-controlled, stainless-steel tanks and Allier oak barrels. The Viognier juice is vinified in new Allier oak barrels. The wines are left on their lees for up to 6 months and then racked and laid for up to 12 months. The blended combination of stainless-steel tanks and French oak harmonise the wine’s buttery vanilla toast with honeysuckle flowers and crisp acidity.

Rolle (93%) Viognier (7%)

‘Beautiful white gold colour. Expressive nose of nectarine and exotic fruits (mango, passion fruit) mixed with rather intense empyreumatic notes. When agitated, lightly mineral notes of flint appear as well as a floral touch reminiscent of mimosa. The attack is supple and continues with good balance and good roundness. The finish is persistent, on fresh honeysuckle notes.'
